Milk Money for Nikki

At Pipette.com, we strongly believe in giving back to our community. As a science based company, our products make a difference in people’s lives, but we wanted to do more. We recently launched a philanthropic program that consists of donating money to a special cause every quarter. We feel passionately that by doing this, we can inspire others to do the same, and we can all make a difference in the lives of others.

During our first quarter, we decided to help one very special life in particular, Nikki Sellers. Nikki was diagnosed with leukemia at 8 months old. Since then, she has spent over 7 months in the hospital with around the clock care. If this isn’t enough, she in also enduring bacterial infections and rhino virus. Due to the chemo, Nikki’s immune system is compromised and needs a boost in fighting these infections. Luckily, there is special milk that she can drink that helps her overcome these secondary infections. It’s breast milk that she gets from a milk bank in San Jose, CA. Unfortunately, this milk is very expensive, and the family has a hard time affording it on top of her care.

This is where Pipette.com comes in. Last quarter we supported the “Milk Money” fundraiser to raise money for this life saving milk. By relieving the extra financial burden and stress, the Sellers family is able to have more quality time with their beloved daughter. At the employee end of year party, employees, friends, and family donated $802 to the cause. This amount was matched by the company for total donation of $1,604. We are proud of everyone who donated to this cause, and are hopeful that others will follow to give Nikki the fighting chance she deserves.
